Christmas Morning 2009

Wow! Christmas morning has come and gone but we had a blast! Wes had to wake Turner up at 7:30am so he would have time to play with his new toys before we had to pack up and travel up to Bastrop for lunch. Santa had Turner a Hot Wheels Race track with lots of race cars, the Tony Hawk Skateboard Wii game, Hungry Hungry Hippos game, some Spiderman Pjs, and a Spiderman Web thrower.

Thanks, Danna, for the Scooby-Doo puzzle!

Before he would open each gift, Turner would ask who it was from, put the gift down, and run to give that person a hug and tell them thanks! And, then when he would see what each gift was, he would yell out 'AWESOME'! It was so cute!

Ripping open another gift!

Christmas Eve 2009

Back to my parents' we went for Christmas this year. We got all dazzled up for Church Thursday evening and then drove on down to my aunt's home for some delicious appetizers to munch on! We then had a couple of Christmas presents to open which Turner was soo excited about!

The McLelland, Arnold, and Burcham Christmas

Every year at Christmas, we get together with some of our best friends and let our kids exchange presents while we grown ups eat and talk. I cooked a pot of chicken and sausage jambalaya while Angela brought a great mandarin/almond spinach salad, and DeAnn brought over homemade baked cookies-awesome!

Turner's Christmas Program

Turner's School put on another cute Christmas program this year. Each class sang 4 Christmas songs while Turner's class had a song and dance routine. He practiced his songs while in the car, in the bath, and pretty much anytime the songs would pop into his head!

Here is there dance routine with ribbons!
And, they even knew sign language to one of their songs!

Thanksgiving 2009

Ok, so I am a month behind on updating my blog!
Turner, Jordanna, and I spent Wednesday through Saturday at my parents' house. Wes drove in just for Thanksgiving since he had to work the next day (Yuck!). So, we all had some much needed family bonding time.
Thanksgiving this year was spent at my aunt Terri's home in West Monroe. We had the usual Thanksgiving dinner (way too much!) and celebrated Leanna's birthday.

And, after we finished eatting, Turner had to push my aunt's dog, Coco Chenille, around in her stroller!

Friday, Mom, Jordanna, and I got up and went Christmas shopping. We fought the crowds, got some great discounts, and ate a great lunch at the Olive Garden- one of our favorites since none of the guys like to eat there. Thanks to my dad who kept Turner all by himself ALL DAY LONG!!

Then on Saturday, we got up and Turner wanted to spend his morning riding his four wheeler and building a ramp to jump over with the four wheeler.

Ainsley's First Birthday

The weekend before Thanksgiving, Ainsley celebrated her very First Birthday. Her mom and dad had a great party at Brownlee Park with Sundaes and Ice Cream Cone Cakes. Turner, Anden, and Cole spent the majority of their time playing in the sand and climbing on the sand hills and then jumping off of them. They had tons of fun! Turner even woke up the next morning and asked me if Ainsley could have another birthday!!

Halloween 2009

Halloween is so much fun! We celebrate my dad's birthday and we watch Turner Trick or Treat.
We enjoyed a great coconut cake that Turner topped off with a batman on his motorcycle. Then we watched dad open his presents. He got some new hunting gear.

And, Turner picked him out a Spiderman Motorcycle so they could race each other.

Then, we got ready for trick or treating. Turner had to be the Red Power Ranger again this year but with a new costume and a bigger sword. And, then Turner wanted my mom to dress up like a witch, so she did.
Turner wasn't too sure of Mimi's costume at first! He kept trying to tell her she had a spider on her face which she did but she pretended she didn't know what he was talking about.

We met up with our neighbors to walk around in the neighborhood.

Trick or Treat!

Turner kept explaining to every house what their costumes were. And, then one home we stopped at had a dog dressed up like Tinkerbell. The dog was scared of the kids in their costumes and started to bark. So, Turner took off his mask and simply told the dog that he was just a kid in a Power Ranger costume! Sooo funny!!

LSU Pics

One of my absolute bestest friends is a professional photographer. So, when we have time and ideas, we get our kids togther for mini shoots. It is LSU time and Turner had gotten a LSU Jersey for his birthday this summer and Anden's Nana made her a LSU Tutu so this called for a shoot!

You can visit DeAnn's photo website at http://www.deannarnoldphotography.com/ for more awesome photos or to book a shoot if you live near our area!
