Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we went by Aunt Terri's home before the Church service. That way we could get home at a decent time to go to sleep before Santa visits.

I did not take very many pictures at all of the kids opening their gifts.

Emerson's gift From Aunt Danna

Jordanna bought Emerson this elaborate zebra print dress with pink and blue ruffles. So we had to dress Emerson up and make her model for us!

And, Turner had to jump in for a quick pic

Then we shop- H&M, Ikea- eat- Iron Cactus downtown, and enjoy pedis- Aveda Institute.

Emerson's Baptism

November 28, 2010

I decided to have Emerson's Baptism at my parents' church in Monroe-which is also where Wes and I got married-because of my mom and aunt being sick. It was just easier for everyone. Plus we had it the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the first Sunday of Advent, to symbolize newness and birth.

Louisiana Renaissance Festival

November 13, 2010

We took our annual visit down to Covington to see the Polo's. But since we had the kids in tow we were not able to go to an LSU football game. Instead we opted to spend our morning at a Renaissance Fair in Hammond while Wes and Garrett played golf. Turner and Izzy had a blast. They rode as many rides as possible even though they were all manually operated. Izzy and Aubre

So sweet

Turner still calls Izzy his little sister!
And we can't forget Emerson who tagged along in her stroller all morning. Izzy with her face painted

We did make it back to the Polo abode to grill and watch the Tigers win over ULM.

Halloween 2010 and Papa's Birthday

This Halloween my parents brought the Mule for us to ride around the neighborhood to trick-or-treat. So, we decided to decorate it. We got a scary zombie that lights up at night and hung it from the front of the mule. We also got dried blood to splatter on the windshield.

We had to take a break to bake Papa's birthday cake. I wonder who picked out the cake decorations? Chef Turner

Alice in Wonderland meets Iron Man and a skeleton. Cole is the Mad Hatter, Anden is Alice, Emerson is a skeleton that glows in the dark, and Turner is Iron Man.

Emerson didn't even make it half the night. She fell asleep while Wes handed out candy at the house.

This house is across the street from our house and they had it beautifully decorated.
The kids were terrified of this fake doll crawling on the ground. It has a sensor and begins to move when someone gets near it.

We finished out the night with a huge bucket of candy and lots of tired kids!

She is becoming a Bow Head

My Aunt Shirley made Emerson a ton of different bows to clip in her hair. I've tried out most of them and I have even bought her a few more to match some of her outfits. She is slowly becoming a Bow Head!

Visiting Mer Rouge

October 16, 2010
Growing up we had some very close friends that we counted as family. The Oldhams- Aunt Linda and Uncle Marley with cousins Holly, Mickey, Trey, and Tony. Lets just say we've spent a lot of time with this bunch!!
Well, Mickey and his wife, Jenn, were pregnant the same time I was. They had a little boy named Max. He is just 1 week younger than Emerson but he has out grown Emerson in both height and weight!
Here they are in their LSU outfits:

And, why have my camera out if I don't take photos of the other kiddos!
Here is Turner with Holly's 2 girls, Catherine and Susan.

The Wedding Day has Arrived!

This is it, the big day. All the planning and stressing can finally come to an end! The venue has been set: Olde Oaks Golf Club in Haughton. The Flowers have arrived. And the Cake has been beautifully decorated Orange and Brown with painted Lillies cascading down one side.
Everyone has shown up in their Sunday best! Us girls spent the morning getting our hair fixed and our makeup evenly applied. We snacked on sandwiches and chocolate covered strawberries. Then we rushed out to the venue to dress and get ready for pictures.
