New Years 2010

New Years was very low key this year, that is, until we lit the fireworks.  But, we started the night with a little dance competition on the WII (what the Arnolds got for Christmas).  DeAnn, Cari, Lexi, and Anden battled it out.  Afterwards, we went outside to watch Wes, Matt, Mike, and Jay light firecrackers.  Us girls and kids sat in the back of the cars to get a good view.  The boys did pretty good until they caught Mike and Cari’s front yard on fire when a firecracker went astray!  Once that fire was put out, they lit another firecracker which went astray into our other neighbor’s yard.  It caught into a bigger fire which had everyone running to stomp out the flames!  It left a nice big black area in their front yard!  We then shut down the firework display.  It was lots of fun, though!

Christmas 2010

We spent Christmas at my parents’ house.  We woke up a bit early because of Emerson to a Christmas tree full of presents!  Turner got a new yellow razor scooter, a Scooby Doo game, and some WII and DS games.  Emerson got a singing chair and some clothes.

We then traveled to Bastrop to enjoy an awesome lunch at Aunt Helen’s house with my dad’s family.
