Day after Christmas

We stayed home from work and school Friday to play with all of our new toys and to help my dad build Wes' Christmas present. He knocked out 2 holes above our fireplace to insert our cable box and dvd player in. He did a great job!
Turner tring to chain saw his trucks! Boys are so funny!

And, we took down all of the Christmas decorations.

And, the final product of Wes' Christmas present:

No wires to see. Now we just have to hang the tv on the wall. Thanks dad!!!

Its a Power Ranger Jungle Fury and Helicopter Christmas!

Turner must have been a great little boy this year because Santa brought tons of stuff! We slept till about 645am and had to wake Turner up when Wes' parents got to our house. It was a Power Ranger and Helicopter themed Christmas! He racked up with the Power Rangers & motorcycles , swords, power ranger Mask, power ranger clothes and power ranger shoes! He also got 2 helicopters! Look at that face! He was ready to get after all those presents!

Turner looks like a bobble head! That mask weighs a lot, he can't hold his head straight!Jordanna, Ryan, and Wes' Dad who all look wide awake!
Papa trying to figure out if he can use that chain saw for his business.
Danna and her new ORANGE jacket!
We opened lots of gifts before getting ready to head to my dad's family in Bastrop. We dined on some great food: dumplins, fried turkey, dressing, potatoes, chocolate pie and lots more! Then played a bit outside with the new remote control helicopter. The wind was a bit fierce so the helicopter kept crashing into the ground and trees.

And, our last stop for the day was to Aunt Terri's house for more presents. We divided up the food, grabbed our gifts, and headed back home.
Last one for the day!
Wow, what an exciting day!
Now its off to bed again to wait another 364 more days till Santa comes again!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was great! I had to work a bit that day which gave Wes and Turner plenty of time to finish shopping and wrapping for me. Turner took a nice long nap without any arguments (I wondering if Santa coming that night had anything to do with it!) and then Mimi, Papa, Danna, and Ryan all came in town. We went to church for a bit and then headed to Nicky's for a Mexican Fiesta! Then it was off to home to get ready for jolly Ole' Saint Nick!
Turner informed me that Santa's favorite snack is Chocolate Chip cookies and milk. What a coincedence! That's Turner's favorite, too!Baking homemade cookies for Santa. Straight out of the package.

Highland Christmas Program

December 19th was Turner's Christmas program at his school. His class sang 3 Christmas songs.

Thanks, Nana Sharon

Nana Sharon went to Build-a-Bear a few weeks ago with Me, Turner, DeAnn, and Anden in tow. She wanted to build the Christmas Moose (Girl and Boy) for her Christmas collection. She let Turner and Anden each help build the mooses which led to us bringing one home! So, thanks Nana Sharon for the Moose!!

My Baby Sister is all Grown Up!

Jordanna graduated from college 2 weeks ago and we had her graduation dinner on Friday night at Longhorn's Steakhouse. Ryan (Jordanna's boyfriend), his parents and his nana also came to eat. We had a nice dinner to celebrate Jordanna becoming a Grown Up!
Turner on his not so best behavior with Papa.
Racking in the cash!
Turner just had to take the balloons to his house!

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Thursday was Thanksgiving and we celebrated by going to my hometown of Bastrop to my aunt's house. We ate a lot, celebrated Leanna's 16th birthday, then complained all the way home because we were miserably full.
Friday we were supposed to get up and drive to Canton, Tx to the First Monday Trade Days but it was pouring down rain. So, we stayed home and decorated the tree. Mimi and Papa helped us out, too!

Don't you love how kids decorate a Christmas Tree! All in one area!
Turner did a great job with the tree!

Madonna, Seriously???

If you ever plan on going to a Madonna Concert, let me change your mind. I am not a huge fan of Madonna's but I do like her old music from the 80's and early 90's. And, I love concerts-I love a really good show! So, as soon as I saw that Madonna was coming to Houston, Tx, I immediately called DeAnn to see if she wanted to go. I had one of Wes' coworkers order pre-sale tickets to make sure that we would have seats. We had it all planned. DeAnn and I got up Sunday morning on Nov. 16th and drove down to Houston. We picked up DeAnn's sister Dawn (thanks for letting me crash for the night!), ate dinner at Pei Wei, and ventured on over to the Minute Maid Park for the concert. We got there at 6:30pm. Madonna came on at 9:45pm. No pre-show. That is a 3 hour wait! She sang only 4 old songs and then those were remixed! She lip synched almost every song. It was just terrible. And, no encore! These entertainers get paid millions of dollars-SING!!! Oh, and I am just sick of how entertainers use their shows to promote their political views! I paid money to listen to your music not to hear who I should vote for!!!
Dawn, DeAnn, and I pre-Madonna!

Congrats to Jason and Amy: Newlyweds

Jason, a good friend of mine, got married on Nov. 15th. We worked together for 5 years and had so much fun. He married Amy who actually graduated 1 year after me in Respiratory School.
