A Peacock?

Ok, we walked outside our house this morning only to find a Peacock on top of Wes' vehicle! It is our neighbor's but they let it run loose. Funny, huh?

I had to post these pictures I took of Turner and Sarah (Wes' niece) for Wes' mom's Mother's Day present. We have never had pictures taken of the grandkids before and since I use every opportunity to shoot with my Nikon, what better way than for a gift!

We used DeAnn's "Studio" in her garage to capture these great photos! Aren't they beautiful???

Chicago Time!

We had a SWEET little vacation in Chicago with the Arnolds and the Burchams 2 weekends ago. I decided to visit with the Kazapalooza gang (Families who have adopted from Kazakhstan) as soon as they posted there was going to be a get together. And, since it was going to be in Chicago this year, why not invite a few close friends and make a nice 4 day weekend out of it! We had a great time eatting, sight-seeing, and taking lots of pictures.

We left Monday morning tired and ready to see our kiddos! Even though, 1 hour after we landed back in Shreveport, I had to catch a plane for a week of training in Orlando, Florida. AHHHH!!!!

Turner's New Bike

Wes and I got Turner a bike for his birthday. But, out at the lake there is not much concrete to ride his bike on so he just made a loop around the outdoor kitchen to occupy his time.

Out of the mouths of Babes!

Turner has been cracking me up lately so I have to share one of his funnies! We are living in a rent house at the moment and granted, it is NOTHING like our house we just sold. Boy, do we miss our old house. But, anyway, we are living in this very old house with wood floors that have lots of holes in them and laminate floors that are peeling up. Well, Turner keeps pointing out that he has 'toys like these' at his house or he has those cups at his house. And, I keep telling Turner that this is house for now until we can find him a new house. And, he looks up at me with a very serious face and says "This is NOT Turner's house! Turner's house is WAY over there!". Oh, well! He is enjoying this house a bit because we are letting him do things that he normally does not get to do like eat his dinner in the living room. But that is only because our table is full of stuff we have not unpacked yet and probably never will while in this house.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Turner!

My sweet baby boy is now a BIG 3-year-old! I can't believe how fast the years go! 3 years ago today Turner was born at 9:30 pm weighing 9lbs 4oz!
We had Turner's party this past Saturday at my parents' home. Dad fried fish and mom supplied the potatoe salad and baked beans. We had lots of family and friends come out and enjoy the water and sun.
I am posting pictures from DeAnn's flickr account because I am out of town and not able to download my camera. So, this weekend I will post more pictures of all the kids!

Happy (Late) Anniversary

We've made it 5 Years!! 5 Years ago on May 31st, Wes and I walked down the aisle together never to look back without each other! It has been the best 5 years of my life! Happy Anniversary, Wes!!!!
