First Day of Kindergarten

My big boy started Kindergarten this year! He gets to wear a uniform everyday with his shirt tucked in and a belt to match. He has a Spiderman bookbag with matching spiderman shoes. His Kindergarten teacher is Ms. Penton at Stockwell Elementary.

Knee Boarding

This summer Turner turned a bit brave and decided he wanted to learn how to water ski. Dad pulled the kid's skis out, Wes adjusted them to Turner's feet, and Turner jumped in them! Unfortunately, Turner tried several times to get up but didn't get it. Emerson enjoying the 0ver 100 degree heat on my parents' porch while I watched Turner
Turner's next step was to try the knee board which is Wes' favorite. Turner got up his first time and rode that board all over the lake! He's a natural!!

And, She's Home

We got released from the hospital on Sunday to bring Baby Emerson home. She is such a sweet baby!
Look at all that hair!

In the Hospital

While we were in the Hospital, my parents and Turner sent us an Edible Arrangement with lots of fruit! We snacked on it all day until it was completely gone. My office also sent me a beautiful arrangement of Sunflowers and Lilies. And a picture of Emerson:

Emerson Gets to Meet her Big Brother

Turner stayed with my parents the week leading up to Emerson's birth. But Friday when we were called in for my C-Section, my parents rushed over so Turner could meet his new baby sister.

Our New Addition

In late November of 2009 we found out we were expecting! This was amazing since we were told not to have any more children due to the Kell Antibody I had obtained while pregnant with Turner. But, after meeting with a Perinatalogist, we decided to try the pregnancy route.
I think I spent every week at a doctor's office getting ultrasounds to monitor the baby's blood pressures in the brain. If the pressures got a certain amount, it meant the baby was anemic and would have to have transfusions. But, every week they stayed normal. So, we didn't post or tell hardly anyone we were pregnant until we absolutely had to because of the risk factors.
And in February we found out we were having a girl!

Emerson Rae Has Arrived!

July 2nd at 1100 am, Wes and I got the call that our baby girl's lungs were healthy enough and for us to come to the hospital for my C-Section. We rushed home to pack and then jumped in the car. Turner was staying with my parents so we immediately called them to come on over.
As soon as we arrived, I was prepped for surgery. So was Wes!
One of my friends, Celeste, was the Respiratory Therapist assigned to my floor so she graciously took photos for me. Emerson Rae came into this world at 2:30pm on Friday, July 2nd. She weighed 6lbs 15oz.

And, so we meet.

Slip N Slide

Whats more fun than creating a huge slip n slide with your neighbors in their front yard using tarps, dishwashing soap, and water?Turner and Zack brave the slideMike jumped in to join the boys

Wes couldn't let them have all the fun!He is soaped from head to toe!

Happy 5th Birthday, Turner!

After 4 years of having Turner's Birthday at my Parents', we decided to move it to our house. Its just easier and closer for all of Turner's friends to come and play. We rented a power ranger bouncy house, cooked burgers and hot dogs, and just sat around burning in the HOT June sun! Turner had a great turn out with lots of friends and family! Cooper Hearne

And, present time
That was some good cake
After the party died down, we still had the bouncy house until the owners came to pick it up. So, Wes crawled in there to play with Turner for awhile! What a great daddy!
And he goes in for a slam dunk!
