Well, I am just 4 months behind on my blogging with lots of catching up to do!
This was our 'every other year' to go snow skiing because of Wes' accounting job. So, February 6th we packed up my parents' car and headed to Angel Fire, New Mexico. This is one of our favorite places to vacation because it is a small mountain, its usually not very crowded, and its affordable! And, this year we were extremely excited because Turner would be skiing for the first time.
We drove all day that Saturday from 5am till about 9pm that night to get to Angel Fire. We were going to cut the drive in half but the weather report said to expect a good snow fall that might freeze up the roads and then we would have been stuck so we drove straight through. We got a condo for the first night which was horrible. It was very outdated but it had to do cause everything was booked up and we couldn't stay in our condo until it was available on Sunday. The first night was not fun! Turner threw up all night- I think because of altitude sickness and Wes was congested and not feeling well.
But, we awoke to a beautiful day with a light snow fall. Turner absolutely loved the snow!
The snow fall did increase as the day progressed. This is the condos we stayed in for the week! Ours was a 2 bed/2.5 bath 2 story condo with lots of room! We got settled in our room just in time to watch the SuperBowl which featured the Louisiana Saints (who won!).

We set out Monday morning to drop Turner off at his first day of Ski School and then we headed out to enjoy the fresh powder. Now, I don't have pictures of what entailed after Dad and I dropped Turner off. We got the SUV stuck on the road trying to get back to the condo because the roads were iced and Dad had taken the chains off the tires. So, we got a late start.

Mom and Dad. Mom wanted to make sure I got a picture of her with this ski outfit on because it coordinated beautifully with her skiis!
The end of our first day, Turner got to ride the chair lift to ski back to our condo. He was not ready to come inside!!
So, we let him ski for a few more minutes on the bunny slope.
One of many falls he took! But, he did great!!

He posed while skiing so I could get some good shots!
Then, he had to climb the gigantic pile of snow and ice the Snow Plow trucks push at the end of the roads. This one is near our condo.
On Thursday we took Turner out with us on the slopes. We each took a corner while he skied between us so he wouldn't fall off the edge of the mountain.
Turner did great but I was a pile of nerves!
We would break after a couple of hours skiing every morning to enjoy a cup of hot cocoa and to let our feet and hands warm back up. Turner especially enjoyed his because they topped it off with whip cream.

Oops, Papa skiied into some very thick snow and our little trick skiis won't go through that so he fell down!
The last day Turner was very tired and decided he wanted to sled instead of ski. So, Wes and I took a break also and let Turner have some fun.
There was a sled in our condo so Turner would climb up this steep hill and slide down. I just watched, laughed, and took pictures!
At lunch, Mimi and Papa joined in the fun. Unfortunately, with Mimi and Turner riding on the sled together, the sled broke in half.
Then after lunch, we took Turner tubing. That was more tiring to me than skiing cause its a lot of walking and pulling your own tube.
They did have a conveyer belt to bring you back to the top. But, you couldn't sit down on your tube while riding it.
And, after the tubing, we headed in to pack up our stuff for an early departure that Saturday morning. We drove for a good 15 hours and finally we were home sweet home! Although, if it were up to Turner, we would still be snow skiing!!
